Ashley Range

Greetings! My name is Ashley Range and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Executive Director for the Community Cultural Center. I am excited for this opportunity to serve our community and personally look forward to getting to know everyone better as we take the CCC to newer and better heights. In the meantime, let me tell you a little more about myself.

While I was born and raised in the Seattle area, I spent a lot of time in the eastern side of the state on family trips and general adventures; spending lots of time in places like Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Grand Coulee and Lake Chelan, just to name a few. And while I will always have a special fondness for the Emerald City, my heart has always been and always will be in the Eastern side of the Evergreen State.

I was just a teenager when my parents moved to Oroville back in 2004 and I was pretty open-mined for not having any say in the matter! During that time, I met my now husband and was married in 2007 right here in Tonasket. Soon after we moved to Spokane, building our new life together, always making time to come back home for family, friends and special occasions. However, it was in 2014 when opportunity arose resulting in us moving to North Dakota of all places! It was there that I rekindled my passion for all things community when I become the Event Coordinator for the local Chamber of Commerce.

Eventually we found our way back home to Washington when my husband took his current job. in that time, I worked for North Valley Hospital, making my way to Community Outreach working directly with various community personalities, programs and events. My goal was the same then as it is now: To enrich our community by bridging the gaps between culture and progression. Which now seems to be even more appropriate than ever before. You just never know where life will take you and all you can do is hold on for the ride!

As new partners in this adventure. hope this very brief glimpse into my life helps in letting you get to know me a little bit better as I step into this fantastic new role. And of course, you are always welcome to come on in and say hello yourself!

See you at the CCC!

Shayla Wiggins

Hello! My name is Shayla and I would like to introduce myself as the Office Coordinator for the Community Cultural Center. I am very excited for this opportunity and am thrilled to be a part of the overall development of the Okanogan Valley! I Just want to take a few minutes to tell all of you a little bit about myself.

I was born in Anacortes WA but grew up south of Seattle. The area surrounding my childhood home was very much like a small town. With a tight-knit community, neighbors were not just friends, they are family! It was this kind of environment that helped shape me into the person I am today. When I wasn't being employed as the go-to babysitter, I worked at the local pet supply store. Together with my parents, we lived in the same home for twenty years until we moved to the Tonasket area little over two years ago. I had officially only been a Tonasket resident for eight days when I jumped into the local art scene wholeheartedly! Being an artist myself, I eagerly joined the Okanogan County Artists Association (OCA) and the Artists of the Okanogan Association (AOk). As well as making some incredible friends, my paintings have proudly been displayed in various places including Omak, Okanogan, and Tonasket.

In that time, I have tried to remain as active in the community as possible weather being involved at local events and festivals selling my handmade crochet wares or simply volunteering my time to different organizations and causes that I feel strongly about. This led to becoming the Art Coordinator for the AOk, honing my skills in both a professional and artistic manner. I also began volunteering at the CCC more regularly, in time becoming their official Art Liaison. Earlier in November we had a very successful art show titled Earth & Sky that not only highlighted local artists, but several pieces were sold as well! That's why when I heard about the Office Coordinator position, I just knew I had apply! I still plan on volunteering my time as the Art Liaison but cannot wait to start my official position here at the CCC.. I especially look forward cultivating new and old relationships with our awesome community as a whole.

Respectfully,
Shayla Wiggins
